She has three siblings. Her two sisters are named Brandi and Jessica, and her brother is named Sterling.

Her mother Barbara, is a nurse by profession. She has put her career on hold to travel with Paula. Her mom has been her guiding force. Paula attributes much of her success to her mother's selfless guidance.
