In February 2006, Ellen celebrated her 30 year class reunion by flying her graduating class to California to guest on her show. She presented Atlanta High School with a surprise gift of a much needed new electronic LED marquee sign.

Contrary to popular belief, Ellen is not a vegetarian. Despite frequently labelling herself as one, she eats chicken and seafood, with one of her favourite dishes being clams.
